I just returned from England where in the flat I was staying they had a small buddha as a "decoration". Both a statue in the lounge and two wall art buddha heads in the bedroom. The same scripture came to mind...eyes but do not see, ears that do not hear....those who trust in them will be like them. Though at present they may be merely thought of as popular decorative items, how long until they are worshipped and trusted in? Across the street, and down the way from the apartment building were two old Christian churches, one being made into an office complex and the other an apartment building. How sad and alarming that England, with her rich Christian heritage would stoop to this....but this is what happens when a people turn from the true God of heaven and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Also that people make no connection between the freedom and rule of law that came from the West versus the darkness of heathen lands where the gospel has never taken root. The buddhist dominated countries are largely atheistic - no hope at all, just annihilation.
